Priest Creek
A project that started out as a dream for our client, who is a movie connoisseur, to build his own personal home theater. The problem we faced was how to build the theater without obstructing existing views by adding a theater to the house. An underground theater idea was spawned and it became a reality 18 months later. The underground theater seats 24 and holds the largest piece of Star Glass rear projection theater system in the United States. The amount of knowledge we gained through the origination of the underground concept was unfathomable. Creating a concrete steel bunker, waterproofing it, and burying it all together was an engineering feat. The theater's footprint was 60 feet wide by 90 feet long by 40 feet deep. This process requires a significant amount of planning in order to pull it off flawlessly. We worked with the owners very closely to make sure that all of their needs were met. Along with the theater project an outdoor gazebo living area and sports rec room & bar were created. The craftsmanship and materials used on this project were beyond any level of finish that we had furnished at the time. Over the years we continue to work on the Priest Creek residence with our clients to improve the existing roof, air conditioning systems, and custom small projects throughout the home to make it live better each year and accommodate our clients families needs.
